Mr. Noel Tata

Chairman

Mr. N. N. Tata was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company in August 2010 and thereafter as Chairman of the Company in March 2014.

Prior to that, Mr. Tata served as the Managing Director of the Company for more than 11 years where he has overseen the growth of Trent across formats. Mr. Tata was associated with Tata International Limited, as the Managing director from August 2010 to November 2021, where he grew the company from a turnover of USD 500 million to over USD 3 billion.

Mr. Tata has been associated with the Tata group for over 40 years. Mr. Tata is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Voltas Limited, Tata Investment Corporation Limited, Tata International Limited, Trent Hypermarket Private Limited and Tata International West Asia DMCC, Dubai, UAE. He is the Vice- Chairman of Tata Steel Limited and Titan Company Limited. He is a Nominee Director of Tata Sons Private Limited and the Cricket Club of India. He is a Director of Smiths Group Plc and Inditex Trent Retail India Private Limited.

He is the Chairman of Tata Trusts and also the Trustee and Chairman of various Trusts that constitute the Tata Trusts.

Mr. Tata graduated from Sussex University (UK) and has completed the International Executive Programme (IEP) from INSEAD, France.

Mr. Harish Bhat

Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director

Mr. Harish Bhat is on the Board of the Company since April 2014.

Mr. Bhat was the Brand Custodian at Tata Sons. He joined the Tata Group in 1987, as an officer in the Tata Administrative Service (TAS). During his career with the Tata Group, he has held several senior leadership roles. These include stints as Managing Director of Tata Global Beverages Ltd., Chief Operating Officer of the Watches and Jewellery Businesses of Titan Company Ltd., and the Telecom business of the Group.

Mr. Bhat is a Director in Tata Starbucks Private Limited and Infiniti Retail Limited.

Mr. Bhat is an alumnus of BITS Pilani and IIM Ahmedabad.

Mr. Jayesh Merchant

Independent Director

Mr. Jayesh Merchant is on the board of the Company since August 2020.

Mr Merchant has held several leadership positions in various reputed companies such as Asian Paints, UTV Software Communications, ION Exchange India and Castrol. He last held the position as CFO and Company Secretary, President – Industrial JVs of Asian Paints.

Mr. Merchant is a Director of Tata Investment Corporation Limited, Voltas Limited, Kotak Mahindra Trustee Company Limited, Lenskart Solutions Private Limited and Nexus Select Mall Management Private Limited.

Mr. Merchant is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He is Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law from Mumbai University.

Ms. Susanne Given

Independent Director

Ms. Susanne Given is on the Board of the Company since November 2020.

Ms. Susanne has a rich experience in technology, retail, etc and has held several responsible positions in various reputed companies viz. House of Fraser-UK, Homebase UK, Best Blooms-UK, Harrods-UK, TK Maxx-UK, John Lewis Partnership-UK and Supergroup-UK.

Ms. Given Chairs the Board of foreign companies such as Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Foundation and Hush Homewear Limited.

Mr. Ravneet Singh Gill

Independent Director

Mr. Ravneet Gill is on the Board of the Company since December 2021.

Mr Gill has extensive banking experience across structured financing, foreign exchange, transaction banking, risk management and private banking. He has served as the Managing Director & CEO of Yes Bank during 2019-2020. Prior to joining Yes Bank, Mr. Gill was the Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank in India and was also a member of Deutsche Bank AG’s Asia Pacific Executive Committee since July 2012.

Mr. Gill is a Director in New Horizons Esports Private Limited, New Horizons Alliance Private Limited, Big Bang Esports Private Limited, Big Bang Mediaverse Private Limited, Digivax Gametohealth Private Limited and Collective Artists Network India Private Limited.

Mr. Gill holds a Master’s degree from Hindu College, Delhi University.

Ms. Hema Ravichandar

Independent Director

Ms. Hema Ravichandar is on the Board of the Company since December 2021.

Ms Hema has a strong professional track record as a Strategic HR Advisor with extensive industry experience advising several Indian and multinational corporations. Until 2005 she was the Senior Vice-President and Global Head of Human Resources for Infosys Technologies Limited.

Ms. Ravichandar is a Director in Bosch Limited, Indian Hotels Company Limited and Feedback Business Consulting Services Private Limited.

Ms. Hema is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Ms. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw

Independent Director

Ms. Kiran is on the Board of the Company since April 2024.

Ms. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw is a pioneering biotech entrepreneur, a healthcare visionary, a global influencer, and a passionate philanthropist. She is a founder of Biocon.

She is the proud recipient of two of India's highest civilian honours, the Padma Shri (1989) and the Padma Bhushan (2005). She has also been honoured with the Order of Australia (2020), Australia's highest civilian honour and Knight of the Legion of Honour (2016), the highest French civilian distinction. She has been conferred with the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year™ 2020 Award, which is a testimony to her entrepreneurial journey of over four decades.

She holds B.Sc. in Zoology Hons. from Bangalore University and Post-Graduate Diploma, Malting and Brewing from Ballarat Institute of Advanced Education, Melbourne, Australia. She also holds honorary doctorates from several prestigious universities including Deakin University, Victoria, Australia; Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK; Ballarat University, Australia; Presidency University, Kolkata, India; Bennett University, Greater Noida, India etc.

Ms. Shaw is an Executive Chairperson of Biocon Limited. She holds a position as a Non- Executive Chairperson of Syngene International Limited. She is a Whole-Time Director in Biocon Biologics Limited. She is a Director in several Indian public companies like Narayana Hrudayalaya Limited, Biocon Pharma Limited, Biocon Biosphere Limited, Biofusion Therapeutics Limited. She is on the Board of Indian private companies like Mazumdar Shaw Medical Foundation, Biocon Academy, Narayana Vaishno Devi Speciality Hospitals Private Limited, Immuneel Therapeutics Private Limited, CSEP Research Foundation and Science Gallery Bengaluru. She is also a Director in foreign companies like PureTech Health, USA, Neo Biocon FZ LLC, Biocon FZ LLC, Biocon SA, Biocon SDN BHD, Biocon Pharma UK Limited, Biocon Pharma Inc., Biocon Pharma Ireland Limited, Bicara Therapeutics Inc, Lincoln Center, Glentec International and Biocon Generics Inc.

Mr. P. Venkatesalu

Managing Director

Mr. P. Venkatesalu has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Company in October 2024. Prior to that, he held the position of Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr P. Venkatesalu joined Trent in 2008 and has been with the Company for over 15 years and continues to pioneer Trent’s successful journey from strength to strength.

Prior to Trent, he was associated with Tata Administrative Services since 2001 and was formerly with Tata Sons Limited as a part of the Group Finance team.

Mr. P. Venkatesalu holds Master’s in Management from Symbiosis (SIIB) Pune and CFA from ICFAI and is an alumni of Harvard Business School (Advanced Management Programme).

Mr. Venkatesalu is a Director in Inditex Trent Retail Private Limited, Massimo Dutti India Private Limited, Simto Investment Company Limited, Nahar Retail Trading Services Limited, Fiora Online Limited and Trent Foundation.
